You are right that the woods are beautiful except for the blue paint. I was upset at first and then laughted when the thought came to me of little girls and boys turned loose in the forest each with a paint brush and a can of blue paint. The fear of getting lost must have made them paint every rock, tree and even the tree stumps!! At one point we saw nine blazes at once. It will wear off in time
